My name is Ruud Kok. I’m a ASP.NET (web)developer for a international contractor. Besides writing my code-behind files in C#, I’m a big fan of jQuery and also like to play around with CSS and of course X(HT)ML and XSLT. But that’s what being a web-developer is about, isn’t it?

I’m a tool freak, especially open-source / free tools have my preference. I listen to several (technological) podcasts (at my current project I have 3 hours of commute per day) and also active on Twitter.
Sport is very important for me. I’ve been member of a sport club since I can remember. First I practiced Judo and at age of 14 I wanted to do something different. Since I really liked swimming I decided to try and play water polo. I’m still actively playing water polo for my local swimming club “De IJsselmeeuwen“.
As a cigar smoker, I love to read and talk about cigars. Occasionally I will post a review on my favorite Dutch cigar forum. Besides the Dutch forum I am also active on the Stogie Review fan forum under the alias “RuudNL”.
